  • How can human practices and social relationships be better facilitated and structured by modern technologies, especially in academic settings and informal spaces?
  • How are social media changing the way people work, play, learn, communicate & share information?
  • What can we learn from examining such issues through a multidisciplinary lens?
  • The Social Networks Collaborative is an interdisciplinary group of scholars trying to resolve such questions. The collaborative sponsors working talks to facilitate idea-generation and convenes research forums, highlighting graduate student work and fostering peer exchange across departments, colleges and campuses. It also supports and sponsors a variety of opportunities for intellectual debate and education: research seminars, visiting speakers, interdisciplinary symposia, and conferences.
